From booking to arriving at your accommodation

Personal Service

We understand that every group has their own special requirements and that each booking is unique. Our friendly personal service makes it easy to book your trip with Ardmore and we promise to provide the highest standard of attention to detail to all aspects of your booking.    Every aspect of your trip will be discussed and settled with your Group Leaders before departure. A full written itinerary for your weeks programme, room allocations and final travel details are all issued to you shortly before your departure date. For groups of 40+ a Resort Representative will be with you throughout your stay.
   If you have any special requirements for your group, or anything is unclear during booking then please contact us and we will provide you with a personal, friendly and professional service on all aspects of your booking.

Getting there

We can offer you two options of getting to your chosen resort; by air or by executive coach.

Air

We can arrange your flights for you on request. All flights are provided by scheduled and/or chartered airlines licensed by the UK Civil Aviation Authority or their EU counterparts. All precise information on airline, aircraft type, flight time and airport for departure and arrival will be provided at time of request (as all flight schedules are not yet confirmed). Information given on your booking confirmation may be subject to change when final schedule information is available. The minimum group size for air travel is 20 full paying passengers. Please contact us directly for a quote and full information on flight arrangements.

Executive Coach

Combining speed, comfort and flexibility with huge savings over air travel, over 90% of our groups now travel to their chosen resort by coach. Ardmore coaches provide comfort and safety with the following key features:
Seatbelts, jet-air ventilation & heating, radio, DVD player, WC & Washroom, on-board drinks facility, snow-chains.
   Your coach remains in the resort with you for your entire stay and is available for daily transfers to the ski lift stations and evening entertainment programme. All coaches are provided by UK companies licensed by the UK Department of Transport. A minimum of 2 experienced drivers will be responsible for your journey with all travel itineraries scheduled with strict compliances to the EU Driver’s Hours Regulations.
   Standard seating for Ardmore coaches under contract is 48/49 seats.
53 seat coaches are available on request. Double Decker coaches are also available and subject to availability with a surcharge. Please contact us for full details and price.

Outward
Typically your coach will collect your group directly from your school or departure point to arrive at Dover for an early evening channel crossing. Arriving in France, your journey will continue overnight to arrive in your resort early afternoon of your second day.

Return
You will leave your resort after an early evening dinner on your final day, retracing your outward route overnight for a midday sailing to the UK and return to your departure point.

Accommodation
We believe that the excellent quality and value of the hotels we offer distinguish our ski trips from others on the market. Group leaders repeat their bookings with us year after year,with many wanting to return to the same hotel due to the high standards, comfort, quality of food and warm friendly welcome extended to all of our groups.
   All hotels in this brochure have been carefully selected for their suitability to our groups. We can match you with accommodation that meets your exact specifications and high standards in any of our resorts. All accommodation is licensed by the relevant national and/or provincial authorities giving assurance that accommodations offered comply with all required hygiene, fire and safety regulations.

Food
Your accommodation is on a half-board basis. Lunch is not included as we find that most groups enjoy to sample the exciting variety of food in the mountain restaurants. Packed lunch can be arranged for a supplement, please contact us for details.
    Coach groups –meals included commence on evening dinner on arrival through to evening dinner immediately before departure on final day.
   
Air groups – meals included commence on evening dinner on arrival through to breakfast on your final day.

   The range of evening activities available for your group is dependent upon your choice of resort and availability at time of booking. We can provide you all of the price information on your Final Details Form. On average a budget of £5 per passenger, per activity should be allowed.

Equipment & Professional Instruction

Quality Ski & Snowboard Equipment

Ski
Ski equipment provided is high quality late model general-purpose carving skis with automatic step-in bindings, ski stoppers and comfortable foam-lined modern clip ski boots

Snowboarding
Quality modern snowboards are provided with either hard or soft snowboarding boots.
   All equipment is supplied by licensed local resort suppliers and insurance for accidental breakage and/or loss of hired equipment is covered by the travel insurance included in our pricing.
   In Italy the wearing of helmets is obligatory for children under 14 years of age for skiing or snowboarding, for groups booking Italy we will arrange helmet hire for group members under 14 on the departure date – Free of Charge. For all other resorts and over 14 year olds please ask for a quotation.

Professional Ski and Snowboard Instruction
Expert tuition makes your group’s experience more fun and safe. In every resort we only use the officially licensed National Ski/Snowboard School. All instructors are qualified to the high standard required of their professional body.

Ski
Ardmore offers three levels of ski instruction:
1. 6 days x 2 hours instruction (included in all prices)
2. 6 days x 4 hours instruction (supplement price on request)
3. Fully Supervised 6 days x 4 hours instruction plus 1 hour supervised skiing plus one hour supervised lunch (supplement price on request, subject to availability at the resort)
   Please note – in Italy 2 hours = 1 hour 50 minutes for all instruction sessions in accordance with National Regulations.
   Ski Group size = minimum 10, average 12-15 per group (additional instructor costs available on request).

Snowboarding
Snowboarding courses are available at a supplement in all resorts:
1. 6 days x 4 hours instruction and equipment hire
2. 6 days x 6 hours instruction and equipment hire We can only offer snowboard options which include professional instruction (no equipment only groups).

   Snowboard group sizes = minimum of 8, average 9-12 (additional instructor costs on request)
