Berlin is one of the most fascinating cities in Europe with a diverse culture second to none. This vibrant city is rich in culture and steeped in history – the Reichstag, Charlottenburg Palace and Park, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, Checkpoint Charlie. As with all of our centres, our host families are situated in the suburbs of the city but within easy reach of all the main tourist attractions.

Day 3: Full day excursion to Berlin: AM: Guided tour of Berlin and visit historic centre of Berlin – the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, Bebelplatz, Deutsches Historisches Museum Checkpoint Charlie, Topography of terror” Museum, final remnants of the Wall
Day 4: Full day excursion to Potsdam: AM: Visit Sanssouci Palace and Park, Altstadt, Brandenburg Gate, shopping in Brandenburger str. PM: Babelsberg and Film Studios
Day 5: Full day excursion to Berlin: AM: Charlottenburg Palace and Museums. PM: Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedachtniskirche, final shopping in Kurfurstendamm
Day 6: Depart host families early morning. Return to UK

Probably the most popular region for visits by school groups as it offers a wealth of excursion possibilities. Enjoy a full day excursion to Cologne visiting the famous Gothic Cathedral and rounding off the visit with a stop at the Chocolate factory. Bonn – music abounds in this, the birthplace of Beethoven. Discover Konigswinter and the Drachenfels funicular (subject to dates of travel) and experience the beauty and tranquillity of the region as you drive through the quaint towns bordering the Rhine river.

Day 4: Full day excursions to Bonn. Guided tour of Bonn and visit Beethoven’s house. Konigswinter & Drachenfels funiculaire (subject to dates of travel)
Day 5: Full day excursion to Phantasialand (subject to dates of travel)
