The traditional Italian village of Falcade has become a firm favourite with Ardmore groups, offering an excellent range of skiing and a warm, friendly welcome that brings groups back year after year. Falcade lies in the Valle di Biois, in the heart of the Dolomites and enjoys access not only to the impressive Falcade area, but also to the enormous Dolomiti Superski Region, with over 1100km of piste! Our accommodations are located in the village of Canale d’Agordo, just 4 km from the skilifts at Falcade and Caviola, just 2 km from the lifts.

Falcade, Canale d’Agordo and the neighbouring villages in the Valle di Biois have plenty to offer for an evening activity programme. In addition to the many shops, bars, restaurants, pizzerias and cafes in Falcade and Canale d’Agordo, there are many possible activities close at hand, such as curling, ice-skating, indoor swimming and snowshoewalking, whilst the Ski-school prize-giving takes place on your last evening.. |
| The great aspect of Falcade’s skiing, is that whatever ski pass you choose, there is plenty of skiing for everyone, from beginners in their first stages of learning, to the most experienced expert, whose search for new thrills and challenges is unending. As elsewhere in the Dolomiti Superski Region, the Falcade lift system is modern and well designed and the pistes perfectly groomed. Beginner skiers and boarders will particularly enjoy the excellent facilities for those just starting out, including the gentle descents on the summit, whilst the ski area offers plenty of mileage and challenges for intermediates and experts, with a wide range of testing reds and blacks. With 27 lifts and 100km of Piste with the pass that covers Falcade-Passo Valles-San Pelligrino, Moena- Bellamonte and Alpe di Luisa, plus 1100 km of piste in the Dolomiti Superski Region, Falcade truly has something for everyone. |

HOTEL COSTA (CANALE D’AGORDO) 3 star
Offering high standards of comfort and cuisine, the lovely Hotel Costa is beautifully furnished throughout and is situated on the site of one of the earliest breweries in Italy-in fact beer is still brewed here and can be sampled in the hotel’s beer cellar! Evening meals are served in the Ristorante Costa, renowned for its authentic Italian specialities, including pizzas! With all the village amenities of Canale d’Agordo nearby and lying only 4 km from the skilifts at Falcade, the Costa is an excellent choice.

The rustic Hotel Val Gares has become a firm favourite with our groups. Centrally situated in Canale d’Agordo, the Val Gares is a short walk from the village amenities and just 4km from the skilifts. A great location, combined with very comfortable accommodation and a very warm welcome from the De Dea family mean that this hotel comes highly recommended.

Situated in the spectacular Val di Sole, close to the resort of Passo Tonale, the linked resorts of Marilleva, Folgarida and Madonna di Campliglio combine to offer a superb area of some 150km of piste, that is recognised as one of Italy’s finest ski areas. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, characterised by pine forests and lakes and enjoying a great reputation for snow and sunshine! The village of Passo Tonale lies at a high altitude of 1880m and enjoys virtually guaranteed snow cover in the village all season long. Passo Tonale offers 90km of magnificent skiing, and for school groups, this resort is hard to fault. Expansive and excellent beginner’s slopes flank the village and students will develop their skills and confidence quickly, before tackling the enormous variety predominantly intermediate skiing that makes up this fabulous area. Our accommodations are situated in the resort of Passo Tonale itself and in the village of Temu, linked to the ski area and just 10 km from Passo Tonale.

Folgaria - 1200m-2007m
Folgaria is a typical, bustling Italian resort, full of character and charm. Folgaria has a lovely atmospheric old-town centre, packed with cafes, bars, pizzerias, clubs and discos, and is well-known for its breathtaking scenery. The town boasts extensive leisure facilities and the skiing is based on the 100km of piste afforded by the Folgaria-Lavarone-Luserna ski area.

Completely renovated in 2004, the family-run Romanda is a lovely hotel in traditional style, situated in the village of Chiesa, overlooking the beautiful Lake Lavarone. The centre of Folgaria is just 300m walk away, whilst the Francolini chairlift is only a 1km bus ride away. This is an attractive and comfortable hotel and comes highly recommended!

The beautiful town of Tarvisio lies in the Giulian Alps of north-eastern Italy, surrounded by magnificent peaks and close to the borders of Austria and Slovenia. Tarvisio is a great spot to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery, the traditional alpine villages of this region offering a warm and relaxed atmosphere and an insight into local culture and traditions. With an exciting, modern ski area and an abundance of activities available in the local region, Tarvisio is a fantastic choice for groups looking for spectacular scenery, a friendly welcome and uncrowded pistes.

Monte Cimone - 1300m-2000m
Located in the heart of the Tuscan-Emilian Appeninne mountain range, in the beautiful region of Emiglia-Romagna, Mount Cimone is a fantastic ski-paradise, offering over 50km of varied runs suited to all abilities. With a ski season that’s in full swing from the beginning of December through until Easter, Monte Cimone enjoys consistently excellent snow conditions. Our groups are guaranteed a very warm Emilian welcome, traditional hospitality and fine local cuisine. The picturesque villages of Sestola, Fanano Montecreto and Riolanuto offer a wide range of après-ski options, including ice skating and swimming, together with an array of shops and cafes to enjoy after an active day on the slopes.

The family run Hotel Cristallo is situated in a modern building in the very heart of Sestola, at the end of the main street with its shops, cafés and restaurants. The hotel is also conveniently located for access to the ski slopes, just 50 metres from the chairlift which leads from the village of Sestola to the ski area of Pian del Falco, in turn linked to the main ski area of Passo del Lupo by ski bus.

HOTEL POGGIO
3 star OUTSIDE SESTOLA
The Hotel Poggio is located in the “frazione” of Sestola called Poggioraso with a small supermarket, church, local restaurant/pizzeria/bar near the hotel. The Hotel Poggio is one of the best quality three star hotels in the area (really a three star superior), and has been very recently refurbished, offering a very comfortable standard of accommodation. It is 2 minutes drive from the centre of Sestola, approx. 15/20 minutes walk (uphill). A shuttle service is provided to link the hotel with the chairlift Sestola/Pian del Falco.
