Situated deep in Andalusia, Cordoba a declared World Heritage Site, is a living legacy of the diverse cultures that settled in it throughout history. To take a stroll through the historic quarter of Cordoba is to discover a beautiful network of small streets, alleys, squares and whitewashed courtyards arranged around the Mosque-Cathedral, which reflects the importance of the city during medieval times and which is a real symbol of the capital.

Cordoba is also synonymous with art, culture and leisure, thanks to a myriad of cultural events that are organised here throughout the year: Flamenco festivals, concerts, ballet and other activities that are complemented by a number of museums.

This programme is ideal for the motivated Spanish language student wishing to improve their Spanish in a working environment. Students will be offered work placements in hotels, children’s nurseries, cafes, restaurants and the retail industry within easy access of their host family accommodation.

Students will be expected to participate fully in their work placement and will then be able to reinforce their language skills within the comfort and security of a host family environment.

The programme is designed for a minimum of 10 paying students and a maximum of 20. Students will arrive on a Saturday and will depart the following Saturday, allowing them ample opportunity to enjoy a week long work placement.

Local transport tickets will be provided on weekdays for the students to get to their work placements. Sunday will be a free day and there will be plenty of time to explore the local sights!
